Cruise!

For Kim's 22nd birthday (Sept. 2008) we planned a trip to the Carribean. We went with Kim's sister and her boyfriend (Shea and Ben), and another couple we are friends with (Chris and Lisa). We stayed one night in Miami before our cruise set sail to the Cayman Islands,Honduras, Belize, and Mexico. Then we stayed a couple nights in a penthouse suite in South Beach, Florida. We have alot of once-in-a-lifetime memories from the trip. In the Cayman Islands we went to a place called stingray city, which is a sand bar off the coast of Grand Cayman, where extremely large stingrays like to hang out. We swam waist deep with hundreds of stingrays that were very domesticated. They would swim by and touch you and smell to see if you had any food for them. The instructor would pick some of them up and let you hold them (if they would fit in your arms!) Although they were wild animals they seemed comfortable around humans and it was a great experience. In Honduras and Cozumel, all the guys and Lisa went scuba diving. We got certified just in time for this trip and were very glad that we did. Kyle had an amazing time under water and saw alot of cool things including: Jelly fish, a huge green eel, more stingrays, colorful coral, and hundreds of different fish. Being under water is very addicting and Kyle can't wait to do it again. While the rest were scuba diving Kim and Shea did a dolphin encounter and they had a great time. They got to touch and interact with them and learned a lot from the instructor about dolphins and their behaviors. The dolphins did tricks and put on a show for them. We did alot of shopping and went to the beach to relax in Belize and South Beach. It was good to relax after the cruise because there was so much to do on the boat and so many activities that we were very worn out and tired, so the two days in South beach were spent soaking up the sun and laying on the beach before we had to go home. In South beach we went to a chophouse restaraunt called DeVito's and had some great steaks. The restaraunt is owned by the actor Danny DeVito. We had heard a lot about the place so we had to check it out. All in all it was a great 10 days in paradise and we wanted to share it with our friends and family. Below are videos and pictures to check out of the vacation.

Bahamas

We recently went to Nassau, Bahamas for Kyle's 21st birthday. June 2008. We went with 6 of our friends (A.J., Steve, Beans, J.J., Taycia and Amber) We lounged on the beach most of the time and enjoyed our all-inclusive resort. While we were there Kim knocked out one of her teeth in the swimming pool within the first few hours of being there. It was really embarassing for her but she fit in well with all the locals so it wasn't so bad. Although we had a rough start to our vacation it turned out to be great. Kyle and Beans went snorkeling and found some star fish that we preserved and brought home. We met many new friends from all over the country. The food was excellent and the veiws were even better. It was a great vacation!
